Cancel Order, Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy

The procedures, set out here, to cancel an order or return an item do not affect your right to reject faulty goods. Further information can be found at www.consumerdirect.gov.uk.

If you do receive a faulty item, or wish to return an item within the cooling-off period, please carefully read and follow the procedures in "How to Return an Item" of this Policy.

1. Cooling-Off Period

When you order from us online, you are entitled to a cooling-off period of 7 working days, which includes any statutory cooling-off period. You have the right to cancel your contract/order at any time within the cooling-off period. This cooling-off period starts the day the contract is agreed (i.e. you receive a confirmation email/acceptance of order from us saying we have dispatched your order) and ends 7 working days after the day on which goods are received.

Certain items are excluded from the cooling-off period guarantee, unless we are at fault. Please carefully read and follow the procedures in the "Return Exceptions" of this Policy.

2. Cancelling an Order

To cancel a contract/order you must inform us in writing (letter, email or fax) and return the product(s) to us in the same condition in which you received it and at your own cost and risk. As soon as we have received your written instructions to cancel your order (letter, email or fax), we will immediately contact you and assign you a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number, together with instructions on where to return your cancelled order.

3. How to Return an Item

If you wish to return goods you have a duty to keep them in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until you return them. Your item(s) must be returned in its original condition, including immediate packaging, including all labels and tags etc. to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect.

3.1. Please write (letter, email or fax) to us explaining your reasons for returning your item(s) or order. This could be a cancelled order (within the cooling-off period), an exchange or a faulty item(s). As soon as we have received your reasons in writing we will immediately contact you and assign you a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number, together with instructions on where to return your cancelled order or faulty item(s).

3.2. When we have contacted you and assigned you a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number and instructions on where to return your cancelled order or faulty item(s), please ensure that you provide us with the following details along with your returned item(s):

  • RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number
  • Invoice/Order number
  • Date purchased
  • Your name
  • Your home address
  • Contact telephone number
  • Your email address
  • Reason for return - i.e. faulty item, cancelled order (within cooling-off period) or exchange
  • Action you require - i.e. Exchange item(s) if faulty or Refund
3.3 You must return the item(s) within 14 working days of your received date, which includes any statutory cooling-off period.

Note: We highly recommend that you obtain proof of postage/delivery (registered delivery) when returning all items/goods to Shop4Life. You are fully responsible (at your own cost and risk) for returning all items/goods to Shop4Life.

4. Return Exceptions

Some items cannot be returned due to interests of hygiene and other factors.

These return exceptions include (but are not limited to) the following:

Music, software, video games (where their original seal(s) have been broken), personalised goods, made to your specific requirements or engraved items. Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered will not be accepted for return or exchange. Also items made to your specific requirements will not be accepted for return or exchange.

5. Refunds

If we are not able to fulfil your order for any reason, or you decide to cancel and return your order (under the cooling-off period), or you are returning a faulty item, the same payment card you used to pay your order will be refunded within 30 days.

Although debits are a rapid transaction by Payment Service Providers (PSP), please allow 30 days for your account to be credited. This is due to the process of PSP refunding procedures and not any delay on our part.

All refunds are subject to you following the correct procedure(s) as detailed in How to Return an Item of this Cancel Order, Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy.

6. Shipping and Handling/Delivery (P&P) Charges

We do refund the original shipping and handling/delivery (P&P) that you paid on an order.

7. Exchanges

If your clothing item is in like new condition, you may exchange your clothing item(s) for a different size or colour within the cooling-off period. You will have to pay return shipping/delivery costs for any exchange item(s).
